Hanuman Garhi: Experience the Divine Presence
Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya is a famous Hanuman temple situated on a high mound on the right bank of the Saryu River. It is said that Hanuman Ji always resides in his physical form in this temple. Lord Shri Ram himself had given the land to Hanuman Ji, on which his famous temple is situated. Since then, it has gotten the additional name “House of Lord Hanuman,” and it is believed that a devotee who offers red clothes to Lord Hanuman is freed from all his diseases. It was built by a Nawab of Ayodhya. Let us know the reason behind this.
It is said that after returning to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka, Lord Ram gave a place to his dear friend and devoted devotee Shri Hanuman ji to stay. Since then, devotee Shri Hanuman ji has been residing in this cave. Today, this place is known as Hanuman Garhi Temple.
As per the instructions of Lord Shri Ram, Ram Janmabhoomi and Ramkot are still under the protection of Shri Hanuman ji. The evidence of Lord Shri Ram’s victory over Lanka is present in the Hanuman Garhi temple here. Another amazing Hanuman symbol in Hanuman Garhi is a flag, which is approximately 4 meters in width and 8 meters in length. Lord Shri Hanuman Ji, due to his immense devotion to Lord Rama, still resides here and follows the orders of Lord Rama.
Hanuman Garhi main temple has the idol of Mata Anjani, and Lord Shri Hanuman ji is shown sitting in child form in the lap of Mata Anjani. It is believed that about 76 stairs leading to the Hanuman Garhi temple located in the center of Ayodhya take the devotees to the shelter of Shri Ramchandra ji through Bajrangbali ji. Hanuman Garhi Temple properties, meetings, and akharas are spread across India, including Nashik, Jagannathpuri, Ujjain, Vrindavan, and many cities. The huge Hanuman Garhi temple and residential complex is spread over approximately 52 bighas.
